United Baptist Church

Following the Lord Jesus Together

Our Values

Our Vision

Our Purpose

Individualism

It is important to United Baptist Church that each person is recognized as the  individual God made them to be.  Each person is unique and different.  These differences are intended by God and should be respected.  Our differences help us to be a complete body of Christ working faithfully to glorify God in all that we do.

Congregationalism

It is important to United Baptist Church that we recognize that our church is unique and made up of unique individuals who have joined together into a congregation.  Though we are individuals, we are responsible for and accountable to each other

Autonomy

It is important to United Baptist Church that we maintain our identity and  uniqueness and refuse to accept any pressure from outside our church to change or become anything other than what we feel God has called us to be.

Cooperation

It is important to United Baptist Church that we work with other evangelical churches to accomplish Kingdom purposes we cannot accomplish alone.

United Baptist Church exist to exalt the Savior, equip the saints, and  evangelize the world.  The order of our three-fold purpose is based on John 13:34-35: “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.  By this all will now that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” As this is a commandment, the Lordship of Jesus Christ is the       primary focus.  Second in importance is the relationship between Christ’s followers.  The third point is the view of the world.  We therefore exist to:

1. Exalt the Savior by encouraging     personal worship of God and facilitating cooperate worship together

2. Equip the saints with sound biblical teaching to develop Christ-like character and activity.

3. Evangelize the world by mobilizing our members in ministry and mission to share the Gospel
